Please use this form to submit an application for the 2022 International Internship Program.

This program is open to domestic and international students studying at a Brisbane university.

Internship placements will be held from 4-29 April 2022.

Information collected in this form will be handled in accordance with Council's privacy policy.

Are you a domestic or international student? *

Domestic student pre-application checklist

Domestic students must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for the 2022 International Internship Program.

I have read and understood the eligibility criteria *
I currently live in the Brisbane City Council local government area. *
I am an Australian citizen or hold Australian permanent residency *
I am a domestic student with a culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) background with at least one natural parent born in a country other than Australia *
I am enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or higher at an eligible institution. Eligible institutions are those in the Brisbane local government area. *
I am currently in my final year of study as of 2022. *
If successful in obtaining an internship, I give consent for my details to be shared with the relevant organisations for the purpose of this internship program. *
I will upload as part of this application my curriculum vitae (CV) or résumé) that outlines all relevant work experience, study and achievements. *

International student pre-application checklist

International students must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for the 2022 International Internship Program.

I have read and understood the eligibility criteria *
I currently live in the Brisbane City Council local government area. *
I am an international student studying at a Brisbane university, with a valid student visa *
I am enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or higher at an eligible institution. Eligible institutions are those in the Brisbane local government area. *
I am currently in my final year of study as of 2022. *
I have evidence of International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with an academic proficiency; or English is my first language. *
If successful in obtaining an internship, I declare that I will provide Council with a copy of my valid student visa and a copy of my passport. *
I understand that preference will be given to students from one of Brisbane’s Sister Cities: Abu Dhabi, Auckland, Chongqing, Daejeon, Hyderabad, Kaohsiung, Kobe, Semarang and Shenzhen. *
If successful, I declare that I will provide Council with proof of my residential address in Brisbane, and my residential address in one of Brisbane’s Sister Cities, should I have been born or lived there. *
If successful in obtaining an internship, I give consent for my details to be shared with the relevant organisations for the purpose of this internship program. *
